Mumbai-based startup accelerator ScaleMinds has selected five startups for its 100 day accelerator programme. The startups are provided with a Seed funding of $15K (INR 10 Lakhs) each in addition to business strategy consulting and business development support.

ScaleMinds is an early-stage, focussed mentorship and business development driven accelerator for high-growth startups. It invited applications for the Summer batch 2017 in March 2017.

As stated by Nainesh Kapadia, co-Founder of ScaleMinds, “Today, with the way the Indian economy is progressing, the time is ripe for investors to look at startups as an investment avenue. The right startup with the potential to make it big can earn huge returns for investors. We at ScaleMinds understand how to harness the power of startups and provide them with the much-needed impetus to succeed, even hand holding them through things like creating a business model, strategising a business and marketing plan etc.”

Here Are The Top 5 Startups Selected For The ScaleMinds Startup Accelerator Programme

Myfutball: Myfutball aims to be a one-stop app for Indian football fanatics. A user can find information related to i-League, ISL along with Premier International leagues and matches. Also, it is a mobile marketplace to buy football-related merchandise, accessories, book tickets for matches, etc. The startup was founded by Trushit Buch and the Android app was launched in July 2016.

Taxgenie: A fintech startup, Taxgenie is a platform that will help 30 Mn MSMEs be GST-compliant and manage their businesses with just a smartphone and spreadsheets. Founded in 2016, it is based in Mumbai.

Funky Dory: Funky Dory aims to be a one-stop destination for Indian working women when it comes to the selection of office outfits. The startup offers custom corporate couture for women wherein the clients can get outift designs customised as per their own body fit. The startup was launched by Gayatri Thampi in August 2016.

HRiS 365: HRiS365.com is an online/cloud-based human resource management system (HRMS) for SMEs. From providing a self-service portal to tracking attendance and from analytics to performance management – it does it all. HRiS 365 was founded by Human Resource Intelligent Systems LLP in 2016.

Navigers: “Navigers” stands for Connecting Travellers. It is a web platform which helps travellers find and connect with other travellers so that they can travel together especially to remote locations. With Navigers, travellers can get free access to information like nearby mechanics, hospitals etc. Also, users can setup their travel groups, plan for logistics and share their experiences to benefit others travelers. Booking hotels, renting bikes, cars, etc are other additional benefits hosted by the website.

ScaleMinds Startup Accelerator Program: An Overview

ScaleMinds was launched by Nainesh Kapadia. Nainesh has expertise in leading and managing industries across packaging, banking, dairy, automation, ecommerce, and technology. Interested startups should be in MVP (Minimum Viable Product) stage. The 100-day accelerator programme provides selected startups access to exclusive tie-ups with a network of 3,000+ investors supported by leading angel networks. The list includes investors from FundTonic, IAN, Ah Ventures and other angels.

Also, there are 50+ mentors, who will mentor startups in executing their Go-To market strategy and the team aspires to increase the number to 500 in the next few months.  Navin Honagudi of Kae Capital, Miten Mehta of Spinta Global Accelerator, Axel & Boris of Yesss Capital, Dhanraj Chandriani, Rajesh Sehgal of Equanimity Investments, and Bhavin Parikh co-Founder of FundTonic, are associated as mentors to the Scaleminds accelerator program.

The startup accelerator has so far received more than 2,300 applications out of which the final five have been selected. ScaleMinds will continue to invite applications for the accelerator programme and aim to select 20 startups in next six months.
