Plotch.ai Raises Funding From Antler, Peak XV To Help Companies Join ONDC

The ONDC rails infrastructure startup Plotch.ai has secured funding in a pre-seed round led by Antler India, with participation from Peak XV, Global Founders Capital and Apoletto.

The startup plans to use the funds to improve its ONDC product suite as a Technology Services Provider (TSP) in the emerging ONDC ecosystem.

Founded in 2020 by Craftsvilla.com founders Manoj and Monica Gupta, Plotch.ai helps companies set up node infrastructure, node-to-node payments and network grievance management on the ONDC via its product suite.

The startup has five key products, including NodeApp, Nodepay, Nodedesk, Nodebox and ONDC accelerator, the latter two have been developed in partnership with Google and Microsoft, respectively.

• NodeApp allows buyer and seller apps to be instantiated using a three-layer solution.
• Nodepay gives buyer and seller apps access to node-to-node network payments.
• Nodedesk is an ONDC-enabled CRM product for customer grievance management.
• Nodebox integrates voice AI into ONDC to help buyers and sellers in smaller cities and villages to buy and sell in multiple languages using voice. 
• The ONDC accelerator, developed with Microsoft, helps accelerate the adoption of ONDC amongst startups globally.

Plotch.ai claims to have already helped 15 companies, including the likes of Meesho, IDFC First Bank, Paytm, Spice Money and Ideamasters, to join ONDC. The startup said that it has a pipeline of more than 100 such companies for the next six months. 

The rails infrastructure startup added that these companies are set to empower 500 Mn customers and 100 Mn SMEs in India to transact on the ONDC network.

Manoj Gupta, cofounder of Plotch.ai, said, “We are innovating at the frontier of AI in ecommerce in ONDC with our partnership with Google, and helping consumers and sellers buy and sell using voice. We believe that in the next 5 years, our ONDC rails will power more than a billion network calls per day across various domains like commerce, logistics, mobility and fintech.”

On the funding, T Koshy, CEO and MD of ONDC said, “ONDC is growing at a rapid pace and it therefore needs technology solution providers which can help in scaling the network seamlessly. The role of technology accelerators like Plotch.ai is critical in this journey.”

ONDC is currently live in B2C and B2B retail, logistics and mobility space across more than 250 cities, with more than 50,000 transactions per day across these domains. It is expected to touch more than 200,000 transactions per day by the end of the year.

Earlier this week, the government’s digital commerce network crossed 1 Mn retail orders and 5 Mn mobility orders since its first beta launch in September 2022.
