Ahmedabad-based, an online networking platform that connects healthcare professionals and organisations together, PlexusMD, has reportedly raised an undisclosed amount of funding from Patni family scion Arihant Patni, private equity veteran Avnish Mehra and a few other early-stage investors.
Other investors who participated in the round were Pranay Adhvaryu of India Equity Partners and Ravi Sampat from Sea Link Capital.
Founded in 2014, by IIM alumni Rohan Desai and Binal Doshi along with Kinnar Shah, PlexusMD is a job portal for doctors. It provides a platform for exchange of news, information and research in medicine. It also helps users connect with other professionals and organisations to know more about relevant courses and career opportunities.
Till date, the startup has developed a network of 10,000+ doctors across India and posted 900+ job openings in various specialties across leading chains (mentioned below) as well as standalone hospitals. It has partnered with Narayana Health, Columbia Asia, Thyrocare, Vasan Eye Care, Centre for sight, Sterling Hospitals, PHFI for sharing their job openings, courses and fellowships on PlexusMD.
PlexusMD competes with other startups in digital healthcare like Curofy and DocPlexus.
