Bangalore based on-demand first mile and courier service startup, Pigen, has now rebranded itself as GoPigeon. The website and the logo have also been accordingly upgraded in line with the company’s new branding, as it moves forward in its endeavour to simplify shipping for more and more users.

To go with its new branding, the startup has also launched a video elucidating how it makes it easy to deliver valuables in a trusted way.

The startup offers on-demand services to ship one’s package anywhere across the world. GoPigeon offers free doorstep pickup from anywhere in Bangalore, home or office at the most economical cost. It also provides safe and high quality packaging at no extra charge and ships packages using premium services. What distinguishes it from other such on-demand services is the premium it lays on adding a personalised touch to shipments, and earning the user’s trust through taking extra care of their valuables while packing and delivering.

One needs to download the app at Google play store to use the logistics services provided by GoPigeon, take a snapshot of the parcel and fill in the destination using the app and can then choose a service among the various options available.

Once the details are entered, depending on the sender’s availability, a GoPigeon representative will collect the package from either the sender’s office or home and pack it using industry best packaging practices to ensure its safety. The package is then taken to the company’s warehouse. From there, it is shipped using the most timely and economical options whilst the sender can track the package throughout its journey.

Deovrat Singh, co-founded Go Pigeon with Yeshu Singh and Sourav Sarkar in June 2015. Ever since its launch, the startup has seen app downloads of about 900+. In October, Go Pigeon partnered with many NGOs in Bangalore to deliver much needed assistance to the less fortunate by leading the joint initiative ‘Parcel of Happiness.

Under the ‘Parcel of Happiness’ initiative, the startup urged donors to come forth and donate items like clothes, bags, books, medicines and other non-perishable goods from the convenience of their homes. The goods were then collected by Go Pigeon representatives from the donor’s doorsteps at no cost, packed properly using industry’s best packaging practices and then shipped to the partner NGOs using the timeliest option at no cost. The startup still continues to run this initiative in Bangalore, urging donors to de-clutter and donate.
