Parenting Digital Startup Nurturey.com Raises $125k From Seedrs

Nurturey, an online parenting digital platform, has raised $125K (around Rs.80 lakh) through equity crowd funding platform. The firm raised the amount through a UK-based crowd funding platform Seedrs, who got support from 118 individuals, mostly parents in the European Union region.

The company plans to use the fund to expand their user base and build more friendly and instinctive website.

Tushar Srivastava, CEO of Nurturey, said “The funds will be used for marketing and product development, in addition to launching apps.”

Nurturey.com, a parenting startup to manage parents’ life around the kids was founded by Srivastava, an IIT and Oxford Business School alumnus, along with Vatsal Goel, a management graduate.

Presently the parents can activate productivity tools on the website basis their mutable needs and improve their efficacy in managing and monitoring information, resources, activities, memories of their kids. Nurturey targets parents of kids aged between 0 and 10.

Finto is also working in the same domain and raised $300,000 from US-based angel group Globevestors last year. Another platform in the same industry Kukucrate.com, found it hard to scale its business and was shut down  in 2014.
