FSN E-Commerce Ventures-owned online beauty retailer Nykaa has reportedly appointed The Good Glamm Group’s chief executive Sukhleen Aneja as senior vice president and business head for Kay Beauty, the company’s celebrity beauty brand launched in partnership with actress Katrina Kaif.

As per PTI’s report, the company said Aneja’s role will focus on propelling growth for Kay Beauty in international markets on the back of a successful launch in India.

“Sukhleen will also hold responsibility for Nyveda, a brand based on the science of Ayurveda with a universal appeal in India and abroad, as well as provide strategic directions for a few of the young brands in wellness and personal care,” the company was quoted as saying in the report.

Inc42 has reached out to Nykaa for comments on the development. The story will be updated based on response.

Aneja, as per her LinkedIn profile, has been working with personal care company The Good Glamm Group for nearly three years as chief executive. Prior to that, she was working with Dettol parent Reckitt for over eight years under various positions. She has also worked with brands such as L’Oreal and Unilever in the marketing department.

This comes at the heels of Nykaa’s strong first quarter results, reported a few weeks ago. The consolidated net profit of the company jumped almost 152% to INR 13.6 Cr in the June quarter (Q1) of FY25 from INR 5.4 Cr, last year.

Its operating revenue also increased 22.8% to INR 1,746.1 Cr in the reported quarter from INR 1,421.8 Cr in Q1 FY24.

The beauty ecommerce major is pumped to expand its business operations globally, and as part of its Middle East push, its step-down subsidiary Nessa International Holdings has incorporated a wholly-owned subsidiary in Qatar – Nysaa Cosmetics Trading.

The new appointment also comes amid the lawsuit filed by the company over Tata Cliq chief executive officer Gopal Asthana for allegedly breaching confidentiality, misappropriating proprietary data and sabotaging business.
