In a move to expand its range of offerings, Mango Man Consumer Electronics, has now  added a new plug-in feature to its Video Streaming Dongle, Teewe. The feature designed specifically for the Chrome Web Browser, it allows users to stream video content directly from the browser onto their TV screens. Prior to this new launch, Teewe supported video streaming via YouTube, Online TV Shows, Online Movies, Laptop Files, and Phone Files.

According to Sai Srinivas, Co-Founder and CEO of Teewe.in, “We’ve always wanted our users to watch any content from anywhere on their TV. With Teewe for chrome we take a giant stride in that direction. In the coming months we will add more support and features to this plug-in to make the experience even more gratifying.”

Existing and prospective users of Teewe need to install the Teewe plug-in on the Chrome browser and install the Teewe Web App.

Teewe competes with the likes of Ezycast and Chromecast. Ezycast is primarily a mirroring device which casts the screen on device on the screen, whereas, Teewe claims to provide more functionality. Also, while Teewe can play offline contents onto the TV screen, Chromecast compulsorily needs internet to work.

Mango Man is a startup aimed at making affordable electronic products. Its flagship product, the Teewe HDMI dongle enables users to stream content wirelessly to their TV via a smartphone application. Teewe can play any online or local content hosted on any server or even the user’s devices/computer etc. which can be added to the application on the fly.

Presently, Teewe allows users to play content across various platforms supports almost all famous OS, namely Android 4.0 and above, iOS, Mac OS, Windows 7 and above, Linux. The Teewe device is available on Flipkart.com and the Teewe app can be downloaded via GooglePlay and the App Store.
