Now pay auto-like fare for cabs, Olacabs launches OlaMini service in Bangalore

Mumbai based car rental marketplace, Olacabs has recently launched a new service, OlaMini, where the customers can avail Olacabs services at auto rickshaw fare, i.e. Rs 13/km with a base fare of Rs 100 for the first 6 kilometers.

“In order to solve commuters’ everyday problems we have launched our service, Ola mini which will help people commute at auto fares,” said Bhavish Aggarwal, CEO and Co-founder, Olacabs.

Currently, the OlaMini service is only available in Bangalore and is expected to roll out in other cities as well.

The company has launched over 250 cabs under this service and plans to increase the number to 1000 by the end of this year. Ola will offer AC compact cars like Tata Indica Vista and Ford Figo under the service.

Olacabs was founded in January 2011 by IIT Bombay alumni Bhavish Aggarwal and Ankit Bhati. It integrates car transportation, be it point-to-point services within a city, hour-based rental services or outstation travel. In November 2013, it had raised Series B funding led by Tiger Global and Matrix partners.

Customers can access Olacabs, on the web, through a mobile app or through a customer service centre.

Currently, Olacabs has its presence in Mumbai, Bangalore, Goa, Delhi, Pune and Chennai.
