Now Mumbaikars Can Book The Iconic Kaali-Peeli Taxis On Ola

Taxi service provider, Ola will now allow Mumbaikars to book the iconic Kaali-Peeli (Black N White) taxis on its mobile app. With over 2000 Kaali Peelis across South Mumbai already registered on the Ola platform, customers can now book a local taxi with one touch on the Ola app, without having to step out to find one!

The registered Kaali-Peeli drivers are equipped with a smartphone that helps them accept booking requests and navigate to the customer’s doorstep.

To start with, Ola currently has over 2000 Kaali-Peeli taxi booking option across South Bombay. Going forward, it aims to bring over 20,000 Kaali-Peelis on their mobile platform by the end of this year. The Kaali-Peelis will be available to commuters at the meter rates itself. The app is only for booking interface and customers shall settle the fare as usual with the taxi driver.

Customers will not have to search for one on the street in order to use the service. They can conveniently book one from the comfort of their smartphones.

With Ola,drivers will now have the latest travel technology at their disposal and it will enable them access to booking requests on a consistent basis from their vicinity. Entrepreneur drivers will have the freedom to logon or logout of the application as well.

However, Ola is not the first one to come up with this feature, Mumbai based BookMyCab also allows people to book Kaali-Peelis.

Recently, Ola has also come out with an innovative solution for sending Diwali gifts to loved ones across the country this Diwali. Just like booking a cab on the Ola app, it has provided its users an option to deliver a standardized Diwali hamper to their friends and family in other cities straight from the app. Users can pre-plan the delivery by making a request between the 16th and 18th of October or can request an instant delivery in less than an hour between the 19th and 22nd October, all from the comfort of their Ola app.

Ola has also launched Ola Wallet to enable cash-free cab booking

Currently, Ola app which is available on Windows, iOS and the Android platform has over 30,000 cars available across 19 cities. Recently, it has expanded operations in Ludhiana, Amritsar, Vizag and Surat.
