Gaming giant Nazara Technologies’ subsidiary Datawrkz has picked up 100% stake in UK-based growth marketing agency Space & Time for around INR 52.3 Cr in a cash and stock deal.

With this buyout, Datawrkz plans to expand into Europe and North America, combining Space & Time’s growth marketing expertise with its programmatic advertising capabilities.

Datawrkz’s founder and CEO Senthil Govindan, who will be joining Space & Time’s board with this deal, said,“…the cultural alignment and shared focus on delivering value for clients make this acquisition a perfect fit. We anticipate this collaboration will significantly boost growth for both companies, with Space & Time driving our expansion in Europe.”

Datawrkz was founded in 2013 by Govindan. It is a global advertising technology startup focused on accelerating user and revenue growth for clients through highly optimised digital advertising.

Later, it was acquired by Nazara in early 2022.

Most recently, it acquired a 48% stake in Pokerbaazi’s parent Moonshine Technology.

In March, Nazara said it has set aside $100 Mn for global expansion over the next two years.

Last month, the company said it was acquiring a 15.86% stake in the gaming community platform GetStan Technologies for INR 18.4 Cr.

It also received the letter of intent (LoI) to acquire insolvency-ridden sports entertainment startup Smaaash Entertainment in August.

In the same month, Nazara announced the acquisition of UK-based gaming studio Fusebox Games for INR 228 Cr.

Meanwhile, the company is raising INR 900 Cr from SBI Mutual Fund and other investors– of which the company has already raised INR 220 Cr from the asset management company.

With this capital infusion Nazara aims to bolster its expansion and growth efforts.
