LetsIgnite, an angel summit that aims to connect startups to the angel ecosystem, has announced My Vote Today as the winner of its pitching session “The Art Of Start”.

Letsignite had received over 1020 applications for the competition, the startups were curated at multiple levels, by over 25 angel investors, including face-to-face pitch sessions.

It had selected 16 startups who pitched and further 6 startups were shortlisted for competing in the final round.

The six shortlisted startups will get a total funding of $100,000. (All 6 together). The winner, Myvotetoday, will be going to Let’s Ignite Singapore in September to pitch in front of global investors.

MyVote.Today (“MVT”) is a polling App which aims to improve the quality of democracy in India and other select nations, by way of citizens voting on ‘concerns that matter & matters that concern’ – in order to influence governance at the local and national level. MVT crowdsources & curates important topics on a pin-code, city, state and national level. Each user gets one #DailyPoll to vote on.

Citizengage Solutions Private Limited manages a waste-to-resource network by connecting waste producers to collectors and processing facilities who use waste as a resource. With over 1,050 households and 50 businesses as clients, Citizengage now manages close to 100 tons of waste each month. The platform uses technology not only to integrate the informal sector that manages waste in India but to manage operations in real-time and generate data about the quantity and quality of waste produced at each collection point.

It is a mobile chain of co-branded pharmacies. Being a B2B player focussed on solving the issues of authenticity and availability in the market, it is an e-Distributor providing unified procurement to co-branded pharmacies along with Analytics at all stages of the supply chain. CareOnGo currently operates in Delhi-NCR, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Bangalore (8 cities).

Intes Aquatica

Intens Aquatica is building a high end technology solution to culture (grow) edible fish intensively. The  technology approach is expected in increase the yield from conventional 4 tons/acre to anywhere in the range of 100 to 250 tons/acre.  This is possible mainly due to maintaining chemical and biological water parameters which deteriorate badly and reach toxic levels if fish are stocked at high density. Technology solution comprising of sensors, hardware, electro-mechanical processes managed by software by recirculating the water in the culture ponds.

Ressy – is a “Customer on Demand” application currently only for the Restaurants but designed overall for the entire Service industry to manage their capacity. In simple words it is introducing Real time Discounts ( Similar to yield Management models of Airline and Hospitality. Ressy has a merchant side application which helps the merchants to float dynamic discounts depending upon their available capacity and a user side application which helps customers to avail the discounts and pay directly using the application.

Findmeashoe.com provides virtual fitting  for footwear using a mobile based foot scanner.

Supr Daily is a subscription brand for daily needs like milk, bread, eggs, coconut water etc. The company began operations around 6 months back in Mumbai and now delivers 20,000+ orders every month thereby processing 25 tonnes of milk each month.
