Mumbai-based job portal Aasaanjobs, has raised $1.5 Mn (INR 9.2 Cr.) in seed round funding from Inventus Capital Partners and IDG Ventures India. According to the company, it would deploy the funds towards hiring staff and ramping up product development.

“I am happy about the timing of this funding round as we can now ramp up and mobilise even more people, not just in Mumbai,” said co-founder and Chief Executive Dinesh Goel.

All a recruiter needs to do on the portal is create a job posting, select a pricing plan and start contacting relevant candidates. The employers can then use filters to select profiles as per their requirements. Aasanjobs features over 5000 verified candidates with close to 1000 job openings.

Founded in 2013 by Dinesh Goel and a group of IIT-Bombay alumni, Aasaanjobs platform went live in 2014, and specialises in the entry level jobs such as data-entry operators and telemarketers.
