The next event as part of MeitY Startup Hub’s (MSH’s) nationwide series of ‘Investor Connect Programme’ will be held at Odisha’s KIIT-Technology Business Incubator (KIIT-TBI) on May 11. 

The event, being organised by the MSH and supported by KIIT-TBI and Inc42, will bring together 10+ startups, 17+ investors, and industry leaders.

More than 10 startups, supported by the MSH, from various sectors like healthtech, agritech and deeptech will showcase their offerings to investors at the event. Bariflo Cybergenetics, IG Drones, Avay Biosciences, Tan90 Thermal, Pareto Tree, and Praesus Technology are among the startups which will participate in the event.

Meanwhile, Sanchi Connect, Marwari Catalyst, XYZ Arrow, Modulor Capital, and Seafund are among the investors that would evaluate the startups, and potentially invest in some of them. 

KIIT-TBI: Fostering Innovation, Nurturing Startups

Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology’s (KIIT’s) TBI is recognised by the Department of Science and Technology and has been instrumental in propelling the startup culture in India. Till date, it has enabled over 430 startups to transform their innovative ideas into viable business propositions. 

The incubator has generated funds for over 350+ startups, which currently have a cumulative valuation of over INR14K Cr. The MSH has supported KIIT-TBI through its various programmes like TIDE and SAMRIDH. KIIT-TBI is recognised as Centre of Excellence in Incubation by DST. 

KIIT-TBI has funded over 30 startups through MSH programmes. The MSH, which aims to promote technology innovation, startups, and creation of intellectual properties, has a robust network and expertise in connecting startups with the right investment opportunities.

The event in Odisha’s capital will provide an opportunity to startup founders to indulge in meaningful interactions and bag investments for their startups. 

It is pertinent to note that Odisha is looking to foster over 5,000 startups by 2025, and this event is expected to help in achieving this goal. Odisha also emerged as a ‘top performer’ among the states with a population of over 1 Cr in the ‘States’ Startup Ranking 2022’, released by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT).
