Ajit Joshi Joins Urban Ladder As COO

Urban Ladder has appointed industry veteran Ajit Joshi as President & Chief Operating Officer. Ajit Joshi comes to Urban Ladder with over 30 years of professional experience and has been instrumental in building some of India’s finest retail brands.

He was previously the CEO & MD of Croma – A Tata Enterprise. He also led operations and institutional sales business for Shopper’s Stop as Vice President Operations.

Over the past five years, Urban Ladder has built a strong product brand online. The next wave of growth will come from a two-pronged strategy of establishing a strong product differentiator and creating a world class omnichannel experience.

Blackbuck On Boards Arvind Singhal As COO

Bengaluru-based Blackbuck (Zinka Logistics Pvt Ltd), India’s leading online marketplace for logistics, has appointed Arvind Singhal as the Chief Operating Officer.

Arvind Singhal was previously the COO at BlueStone. Prior to this, he has also held the position of CEO at Taxi For Sure.

Arvind comes with 17 years of rich experience and has led various large, cross-functional organisations like McDonald’s, Reliance Communications, Nokia, Marico, and Asian Paints. Arvind holds an engineering degree from IIT-Bombay and is also an alumnus of IIM-Kolkata.

Treebo Appoints Ex-Amazon Executive As Head Of Finance

Treebo Hotels, a budget hotel chain, has appointed ex-Amazon executive Pradeep Sriram as its new Head of Finance. In this role, Pradeep will be heading all commercial, accounting, tax, compliance, receivables, and payables related activities.

In his last stint, Pradeep was part of the Global Account Receivables and Global Payroll teams at Amazon. At Amazon, Pradeep was also actively involved in designing and implementing process and technology related initiatives within the Finance function.

Prior to joining Amazon, he worked with Wipro Technologies for close to eight years where he headed the Finance function for multiple business units with annual revenues of $500 Mn+. At Wipro, Pradeep was instrumental in improving the operating margin of his business unit as well as contributing to large deal wins.

Pradeep is a Qualified Chartered Accountant, Certified Fraud Examiner from ACFE, US (Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, USA), Associate Member of CPA, Australia and Associate Member of ISACA (Information Systems Audit and Control Association).

UpGrad Appoints Ritesh Malhotra As B2B Head

UpGrad has appointed Ritesh Malhotra as the B2B Head to overlook the expansion and acquisitions of UpGrad. Malhotra comes with over 15 years of B2B experience across telecom and technology services.

He has managed global portfolios for several organisations including Vodafone India & Tech Mahindra.

UpGrad offers various courses in data analytics, digital marketing, product management and entrepreneurship, especially for working professionals who look forward to upgrade their skills sets for an enhanced transition and salary increments.
