Paytm has moved over 800 personnel actively involved in the growth of Paytm Mall have been moved from One97 Communications. Paytm had the mall entity commissioned seperately in May 2017.

The company is also planning to hire 2,000 new personnel across various business and tech roles to effectively scale its operations. The firm has put together a team with the most diverse set of experiences and skill-sets to handle key roles – Saurabh Vashishtha for marketing, Amit Bagaria for customer experience, Bhushan Patil for logistics and Sunil Goyal for Product and Technology. This team will continue overseeing various categories across the company.

Paytm Mall is also scaling its partner network by adding another 3,000 Paytm Agents to its existing workforce as it goes deeper into Tier II and Tier III cities, digitising catalogues of neighborhood shopkeepers and trusted brands. It will leverage mobile technology to make this wide retail inventory available to millions of Indians, while helping these retailers reaching out to a wider set of customers around them.

GoDaddy Appoints Former WeWork Exec As MD For India

US-based web-hosting firm GoDaddy has appointed Nikhil Arora as Vice President and Managing Director for India market. In his new role, Nikhil will be leading corporate strategy, business development and customer experience for GoDaddy in the country.

Prior to this, Nikhil was associated with co-working space startup WeWork as an executive. He was heading  Asia and India operations for WeWork.

In his early career stints, he served as VP and MD of Intuit India. He has also worked with Laureate Education, Delphi Automotive, and CBS Television.

Nikhil holds an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management in Arizona, and a bachelors in business administration in accounting and finance from Hofstra University, New York.

POPxo Appoints Rana Handa As Chief Business Officer

POPxo, the Indian digital community for women, has appointed Rana Handa as Chief Business Officer. Rana was previously the Head of Revenue at ScoopWhoop.

In his new role, Rana will be responsible for the company’s P&L and new business development, leading the revenue and sales division.

Rana has had an exciting career over the last 15 years. His past endeavours include ScoopWhoop (As Head of Revenue), 9X Media (As Vice President- National Sales Head), Time Warner Inc. (Director- Advertising Sales) and STAR India amongst others.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management, Commendation from Bournemouth University.
