PressPlay’s Anand Sinha Joins FreeCharge

Digital payments platform, FreeCharge has appointed Anand Sinha as Director – Partnerships & Strategic Initiatives. Anand brings to the table, deep passion and experience of working in a startup landscape along with an intricate understanding of partnerships and consumer products.

In his new role, he will be leveraging his experience in leading both the online and offline partnerships to help FreeCharge scale up its merchant operations at lightening pace, along with working on several key strategic initiatives for the firm.

Anand has previously co-founded PressPlay – India’s first omnichannel entertainment platform and headed sales for Zomato nationally. He started his career with D.E. Shaw’s financial research team and is an alum of Christ College, Bangalore.

Dhiraj Sharda Joins Airtel Payments Bank

Airtel Payments Bank, the first payments bank in the country to go LIVE has appointed Dhiraj Sharda as its Chief Digital Officer. Dhiraj will report to Shashi Arora, MD & CEO, Airtel Payments Bank.

In his new role, Dhiraj will be responsible for product development, digital delivery and development of digital marketing platforms for Airtel Payments Bank. He will also drive some of the proactive initiatives by Airtel Payments Bank to accelerate the adoption of digital/cashless payments across the country.

Dhiraj brings with him over 15 years of rich work experience with startups and large companies in Silicon Valley (US). Dhiraj joins Airtel Payments Bank from IAC (the parent company of Expedia, Match.com and Tinder.com), where he was Senior Director of Product. In the past, he has worked with Prosper, Visa, AT&T, Yahoo and Wipro.

Dhiraj has done his MS from Stanford University, USA and Computer Engineering from Pune University.

Rajan Anandan Joins Capillary Technologies Board

Capillary Technologies, an omnichannel engagement and commerce product company, has appointed Rajan Anandan as one of its newest Board members. Apart from becoming a board member, Rajan has also served as Capillary’s advisor and is one of its early investors.

An experienced professional in digital, mobile and software products space, an industry veteran with two decades of experience in Google, Microsoft, Dell and McKinsey, Rajan will play a significant role in mentoring Capillary Technologies’ vision to be digital transformation pioneer in Asia.

Rajan Anandan is the Vice President – South-East Asia & India at Google. He is also a very active angel investor in India and has been deeply involved in building India’s startup ecosystem over the past decade.

Rajan holds an MSc. in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from Stanford University and a BSc from MIT.

Neurosynaptic Communications Strengthens Advisory Board

Neurosynaptic Communications, an m-health technology solution provider has appointed Dr. S. V. Joga Rao, Dr. Ashwin Naik, and Amit Jain as members of Board of Advisors. Prof. (Dr.) Joga Rao has both experience and expertise in the field of health law and ethics. Prominently, he focusses on the legal and ethical interface of healthcare and technology. He is a Max-Planck Fellow.
