Mobile Payments and commerce platform Paytm made two appointments for its Payment Bank. The company has appointed Ruchita Taneja Aggarwal as its lead of banking operations and Priya Karnik will be working on products for Bank. Both Ruchita and Priya were previously associated with Citi in leadership roles; while Ruchita was Director – Treasury and Trade Solutions (TTS) and Singapore Head – Regional Product Sales, Priya’s last role with Citi was – Director – Treasury and Trade Solutions (TTS) – Regional Implementation.

Ruchita holds an MBA from S.P.Jain Institute of Management & Research and has almost 14 years of experience in the field of payments and finance. She has been integrally involved in execution, ideation and planning of new business strategies at Citi Transaction Banking as a part of her job responsibilities, and has led sales of complex, multi-country working capital solutions to corporates in India and Singapore. For her efforts, she was also named the Best Woman Sales Director at the first-ever India Women in Sales Awards, 2015.

Priya is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, and holds almost 13 years of experience in payments and cash management with diverse stints across product management, sales and operations.

Mphasis Announces Cristopher Broyles As Chief Accessibility Officer

An IT services company Mphasis announced the appointment of Cristopher Broyles as Chief Accessibility Officer. He will spearhead Mphasis’ internal digital accessibility practice

s & processes and training capabilities to educate customers – particularly in the financial services vertical. He will also be responsible for the development and delivery of customizable and accessible end-to-end solutions. Broyles has implemented successful, sustainable accessibility programs across many verticals. However, he finds providing digital accessibility to banking, insurance, brokerage and wealth management is a dynamic space.

PayU India Hires Former Bharti Airtel’s Executive

Payment solution company PayU India announced the appointment of former Bharti Airtel’s executive, Sachin Singhal, as its Head of consumer business. Sachin will be responsible for designing effective business strategies and bring in growth by taking the company’s plans to diversify the consumer business to the next level. Sachin has over a decade long experience in business and technology. During his last stint with Bharti Airtel, he led the channel marketing and mobile internet growth. Sachin is an alumnus of IIT Delhi and IIM Ahmedabad and has earlier worked with PWC India, One97 and Tradus.com

Ecom Express Appoints Girish Lakshman & Rajiv Kapoor To The Board Of Directors

Ecom Express, a logistics solutions provider to ecommerce industry, announced the appointment of Girish Lakshman and Rajiv Kapoor as independent non-executive Directors to its Board. Their addition as directors and board members is embarked to support Ecom Express on its next phase of growth and continues to build on its portfolio of offerings to ecommerce industry.

Girish Lakshman is a former Vice President of Worldwide Strategy and Technology for Amazon.com. He has held a variety of roles at Amazon.com in the areas of transportation, technology, logistics and operational excellence. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Amazon’s worldwide transportation strategy, technology and customer returns. He is currently the President for the Fulfilment division at Sears Holdings Corporation, USA.

Rajiv Kapoor was Chief People Officer at Fortis Healthcare and brings around 30 years of experience in inducting, motivating and engaging front-line employee force. He has an experience in variety of HR & legal leadership roles dealing with diverse employee force. He has significant skills and expertise around building human resource capabilities across leading global organisations such as DCM, Goodyear, JCB, and more recently at Fortis by helping assemble a strong pool of talent as also instilling an integral sense of purpose, pride and belongingness within the organisations.

TranServ Adds Fresh Line Of Leaders

Digital payments company Transerv  has appointed Salil Mody as its SVP – Corporate Strategy and Ushpinder Singh as the SVP & Head- Merchant Business. Salil comes with an MBA from Kellogg School of Management and holds a Master’s degree in computer engineering from University of California. He comes with valuable experience in the payments space with 8 years at PayPal across Silicon Valley & India. His last role, prior to joining TranServ, was at MasterCard where he was responsible for market development for South Asia. At TranServ, Salil will focus on driving corporate strategy, inorganic growth and innovative initiatives like micro-credits.

Ushpinder has joined TranServ to lead the Merchants Business and would be responsible for sales of the Udio product suite with a focus on API integrations & digital payment solutions of the company. Ushpinder comes with 16 years of work experience with 6.5 years in the mobile payments space. Prior to TranServ, he was heading partnership & strategic alliances at MobiKwik. Before venturing into mobile payments, Ushpinder has worked with various CMM L5 technology consulting companies, both in India and US.

Ekart Appoints Two Senior Executives

Ekart, the logistics arm of India’s largest online retailer Flipkart, has appointed former McDonalds executive Abhijit Upadhye as the head of business development and former Tata Teleservices executive Harish Abichandani as the CFO. Upadhye has 20 years of experience in strategy, supply chain, sales and consulting, having worked at companies like Infosys, CPG Domain Consulting Group, Perfetti and Philips. He will report to Ekart head Saikiran Krishnamurthy. Abichandani will report to Flipkart CFO Sanjay Baweja.
