Jeff Bezos, founder, and CEO of Amazon.com, announced Jeff Wilke as the CEO of Worldwide Consumer, Andy Jassy as the CEO of Amazon Web Services and Jeff Bezos remains the CEO of the company. Bezos said that this is not a reorganisation but rather a recognition of the roles they’ve played for a while. Jeff Wilke was earlier Senior Vice-president, Consumer Business at Amazon.com, while Andy Jassy was Senior Vice-president, Web Services. Both Wilke and Jassy have played critical roles in turning the company into a tech juggernaut worth about $300 Bn.

KartRocket Appoints Rajeev Singh As VP Sellers

KartRocket, an ecommerce platform enabler, has appointed former associate director of market development in Snapdeal, Rajeev Singh, as the vice president of seller ecosystem. The company is strengthening its business in the mobile marketplace Kraftly, targeted at getting small and micro-entrepreneurs online. Rajeev plans to introduce features on query management, order management for ROI on digital marketing through Instagram and Facebook. He is an IIT Bombay graduate and has earlier worked in companies like ZS Associates and Dealsandyou.

PressPlay TV Announces Rajesh Vashista As CTO

PressPlay TV, a startup that works in the field of travel entertainment, announced the appointment of Rajesh Vashista as the CTO. Rajesh will be leading the PressPlay TV’s technology thrust. He will be responsible for driving innovations in apps/products and processes at PressPlay TV. He brings with him a well-rounded experience of more than 18 years as technologist and mentor. Rajesh joined PressPlay TV from WOO, where he was serving as a Senior Director. His career spans across multiple domains like social networking, socio-telecom convergence, mobile apps for social networks, content management, ecommerce, media, workflow management, identity management, etc.

GoJavas Names Amitabh Coomar As New CEO

GoJavas, a logistics and delivery services venture acquired by Snapdeal, has named former executive of ITC Ltd, Amitabh Coomar, as its new CEO after the departure of Vijay Ghadge, who was the company’s senior-most executive. Coomar was divisional manager, brand marketing at ITC, Kolkata. He has been associated with the company for close to eight years across different divisions. He has also served the Indian Army for almost 12 years before joining the corporate world. Coomar has a post graduate diploma in business management from IIM, Ahmedabad.

Google’s Amit Singhal To Join Fitness Startup GOQii

Amit Singhal, former Google Fellow regarded as the master of Google ‘ranking algorithm’, has agreed to join the board of directors at fitness startup GOQii. As a member of the board, Singhal hopes to bring his expertise in artificial intelligence and machine learning from Google to GOQii, making the service more predictive and preventive. Singhal retired from Google in February this year to pursue his own interests after a 15-year stint. He is also an investor in the company.

Revv Appoints Chetan Jain As City CEO

Self-drive car services company, Revv, brought Chetan Jain on board as their City CEO in Hyderabad. An IIT Kanpur and Indian School of Business alumnus, Chetan was the Head of Operations at Myles for two cities i.e. Hyderabad and Vishakhapatnam prior to joining Revv. During his tenure at Myles, Chetan was responsible for improving its service accessibility by increasing its service locations by 10 times.

VCCircle Appoints Nita Kapoor As CEO

News Corp-owned The VCCircle Network has appointed Nita Kapoor as the CEO. She will also oversee Bigdecisions.com as head of News Corp’s new ventures in India. Nita has significant management and strategic execution experience over a three-decade-long career, that began at ad agency Mudra Communications. he spent 16 years at Mudra working on a portfolio of brands that included Rasna, Vimal, Nestle, FritoLay, Dabur and McDonalds, and rose to become the head of the firm’s flagship Delhi operations. Nita is actively involved in industry bodies such as the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, and is a member of the Indian Angel Network. She is a Life Member of the G100 Network NY, a private group of chief executives of the world’s largest and most significant companies.

IndiaHomes.com’s CEO Arvinder Singh Sachdev Quits

Real estate portal IndiaHomes.com’s CEO Arvinder Singh Sachdev has reportedly quit the firm, just after four months since he was elevated at the post. He was associated with IndiaHomes  since February 2015 as its President and COO.  At IndiaHomes, he focussed on to put the organization on a profitable path, setting up business matrices and unit economics to drive revenue growth, reducing operating cost and net cash burn by more than 50 % in last six months. Prior to this, he has worked in established companies like Aircel, Cadbury and  Aditya Birla Group.
