Bharani Setlur Joins Anthill Ventures As Partner

Anthill Ventures has appointed Bharani Setlur as the new partner to lead the set-up in Bengaluru. In his new role, he will bring in investment for early growth stage startups to scale with speed

As Partner at Anthill Ventures, Bharani will be pursuing investment and market opportunities in disruptive products, technologies, science and design, with a focus on growing partnerships, platforms and strategic networks.

Bharani brings 14 years of experience building and scaling startups. Prior to joining Anthill, Bharani held the position of Chief Business officer at Belong.co and Babajob, Associate director at MuSigma and Chief Executive Officer at Webfluenz. He studied at the National Institute of Design in Ahmedabad and started his career as a concept designer with Picopeta Simputers on the Simputer project.

Anthill Ventures is an investment and scaling platform for early growth stage startups. The thesis revolves around finding right partners globally among funds, family offices and accelerators and then co-investing along with them in highly scalable business ideas that have growth opportunities in Asia and beyond. In addition to their investments, Anthill brings a unique speed scaling platform to work with startups that can scale them towards a Series A within 12 months.

MatchMove Appoints Kumar Srinivasan As CEO

MatchMove, one of Asia’s fastest growing and leading fintech companies, has appointed Kumar Srinivasan as CEO of MatchMove India.

Kumar is a veteran of driving innovations and developing new technologies and products with almost 20 years of experience in  India, Southeast Asia and the United States.

Prior to joining MatchMove, Kumar was the Chief Operating Officer at Hike, an India-focused mobile messaging service, where he led the company’s overall business operations as well as its growth strategies.

In one of his earlier roles, Kumar served as the VP & General Manager of Flexible Payments Services at Amazon.com. While based in the United States, he also held other leadership positions at notable companies including Travelocity, Drugstore.com and Wal-Mart Inc.

Based in MatchMove’s Bengaluru office, Kumar will play a vital role in accelerating the company’s expansion in India to capitalize on the country’s fast-growing digital payments scene. Kumar will also join the C-Level team in MatchMove’s Headquarters in Singapore and lead the Global Product and Technology Division.

MatchMove is currently servicing more than 100 current and potential enterprise customers across India, Southeast Asia, Australia and Latin America.
