BlackBuck On Boards Dinesh Ajmera As CTO

Bengaluru-based BlackBuck, owned and operated by Zinka Logistics Pvt Ltd, and an online marketplace for logistics, has appointed Dinesh Ajmera as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

Dinesh comes with 17 years of experience, and was previously the CTO at Souq.com, an Amazon company. He has also held senior leadership positions at Commonfloor, @WalMartLabs, [24]7. ai , and management positions at Oracle and Amazon.

He is known for his strong experience in leading development of online platforms in the areas of ecommerce, digital marketing, customer experience and real time collaboration.

Dinesh holds a B.Tech in Computer Science from IIT Bombay and MS from University of California, Los Angeles.

Flipkart Levels Up CTO Ravi Garikipati

Flipkart has appointed its chief technology officer Ravi Garikipati as the head of its fintech department with immediate effect.

The engineering division of the company, which was under Garikipati, will now report directly to Krishnamurthy. Flipkart will also look at bringing in a new head of engineering.

Garikipati joined Flipkart in 2015 as an entrepreneur-in-residence who headed the advertising business, before getting elevated to chief technology officer and head of engineering at the company.

Former TPG Growth Adviser Joins Delhivery Board

Anjali Bansal, former senior adviser and managing director at TPG Growth, has joined the board of ecommerce logistics firm Delhivery as an additional director.

A computer science engineer by qualification, Bansal started off her career with a brief stint at Indian Space Research Organisation. She later majored in international finance and business from Columbia University, following which she joined consulting firm McKinsey in New York. Bansal also launched the India operations of global executive search firm Spencer Stuart.

She joined TPG Growth in July 2015as Partner and Managing Director to look after human capital-related needs of its portfolio firms in Asia and Africa. She quit TPG Growth in March this year.

Besides Delhivery, Bansal also sits on the boards of Tata Power Company Ltd, Voltas Ltd, Glaxosmithkline Pharma, Bata India and Bombay Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
