Juggy Marwaha Resigns From WeWork India
Juggy Marwaha, the senior management executive of WeWork India has resigned from the company amid speculations about the New York-based startup wanting tighter grip over domestic operations.
At WeWork, Marwaha was responsible for connecting people to space, services, and community, which is essential to create supreme quality work life.
Prior to his association with WeWork India, Marwaha was noted management professional, armed with an extensive experience has served at renowned firms such Jones Lang Lasalle as Managing director, South India; Mantri Developers India as President, Leasing; RMZ Corp as Director, Leasing; CB Richard Ellis as VP, Global Corporate Services, Dallas; Megabowl as Group General Manager as well as Taj Group of Hotels as Management Trainee, Food & Beverage.
Grace Yun Xia Appointed As Principal, Investment Team At Jungle Ventures
Grace Yun Xia, the former Senior Director of Corporate Strategy and Development at Tencent, has been appointed as Principal for Investment Team at Jungle Ventures.
In her new role, she will steer the company’s growth in order to help emerge as a leading VC fund in Southeast Asia and India.
Prior to her association with Jungle Ventures, she was responsible for identifying strategic opportunities within emerging markets, building Tencent’s overseas product ecosystem and deploying capital. The last initiative of Xia at Tencent was a $19 Mn investment and a joint venture with Thailand based Ookbee.
Being a professional with expertise in Investment, Xia while being associated with Jungle Ventures also serves as Board Director at Ookbee U, a joint venture between Tencent and Ookbee focusing on UGC/ PGC digital media business in Thailand and South-East Asia.
Apart from that, Grace Yun Xia has also served as Director, Corporate Strategy & Investments at Amobee and as Director Global Strategic Alliances and Investment.
Xia holds a degree in Master of Business Administration from Duke University.
Sudhanshu Jain Join Paytm Payments Bank As Chief Financial Officer
In a bid to enhance operations across 31 branches and 3,000 customer services points, Paytm Payments Bank has appointed Sudhanshu Jain as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to his appointment at Paytm Payments Bank, Jain was serving as Deputy General Manager at ICICI Bank where he was responsible for heading the borrowings at ICICI Bank’s foreign currency desk.
As part of his association with Paytm Payments Bank, Jain will be responsible for finance and be generating valuable strategies to steer the growth of the bank towards new dimensions.
With immense interest in the banking sector, Sudhanshu Jain joined ICICI Bank and served as an Audit Manager followed by the challenging roles at Profit Planning and Budget Department and later as Deputy General Manager – Head Borrowings (Foreign Currency) at ICICI Bank.
He holds a degree in Bachelor of Commerce from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata, Company Secretary, Institute of Company Secretaries of India and Chartered Accountancy from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
Snapdeal Levels Up Digital marketing Head To Head Of Products
Snapdeal has promoted Mayank Jain as Head of Products where he will be responsible for entire products portfolio. He was earlier serving the role of Digital Marketing Head in the company.
Prior to his appointment at Snapdeal in April last year, Jain was serving as Senior Vice President for Analytics and Product Management at Zoomcar.
Apart from that Jain has also held various key positions at Snapdeal such as Vice President/ Head, Supply Chain Management, Assistant Vice President/ Head, Sellers Experience and Sellers Services along with Assistant Vice President, Operations at Urbantouch.com and Fashionandyou.com, in the past.
Mayank Jain holds a degree in B.Tech and M.Tech in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.
MobikWik Strengthens Its Leadership Team
In order to strengthen its senior management team and scale-up operations within payment wallet industry, MobiKwik has appointed Rukaiya Rangwala, Lokesh Rajpal, Rahul Lodha and Apurva Anand as Business Head – Payments Gateway Business, Chief General Counsel, VP – Technology and National Sales Head – Offline Retail, respectively.
Prior to their association with MobikWik, Rukaiya Rangwala was serving as Vice President at Jabong, Lokesh Rajpal as Deputy General Counsel at Flipkart, Rahul Lodha as Co-founder, Renomania and Apurva Anand as National Sales Manager for Paper Boat company, owned by Hector Beverages.
Lokesh Rajpal, Strategic General Counsel at MobiKwik comes with a background in litigation, commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, secretarial and corporate law and worked with companies like Flipkart, Honeywell, eBay, Noon.com, and Metro.
Rahul Lodha, Vice President for Engineering joins MobiKwik from Renomania, which he co-founded and served as its CTO. He comes with over 13 years of experience in consumer internet, Startups and telecommunications space.
Apurva Anand, National Sales Head for Offline Retail at MobiKwik was previously working with Paper Boat parent company, Hector Beverages as National Sales Manager, General Trade.
Besides, more senior level appointments are to be made over the coming months for the positions such as CFO, Business Head for Lending, etc.
