Wooplr Ropes In Rajesh Kamra & Rajiv Mehta

Wooplr roped in Koovs’ Rajesh Kamra to head social commerce. Rajesh has a decade’s experience in growth strategies. In August last year, he ventured into the loyalty rewards space by co-founding a new app called Perksmap that discovers deals from shopping and dining outlets. Although he will work with Wooplr full time, he will continue to be associated with Perksmap in a passive role.

The startup also appointed Rajiv Mehta, chief executive officer of Arvind Sports as senior advisor for an equity stake. Mehta is an INSEAD alumnus and was managing director of South Asia at Puma before he became the CEO of Arvind Sports Lifestyle Ltd and Arvind Fashion Brands Ltd. He is also an active angel investor for the Indian Angel Network.

Jungle Ventures Ropes In Vaishali Cooper And James Lin

Jungle Ventures has roped in Vaishali Cooper, known for her role at eBay and Komli Media as Chief Financial Officer. Vaishali will oversee the financial, accounting, tax and compliance functions at Jungle. At the fund level, she and her team will be responsible for adherence to all compliance, regulation and financial reporting of Jungle’s various funds. On the Portfolio front, she oversees the performance of the investee companies and provides operating support as required.

Jungle has also brought on board James Lin, former Financial Controller at eBay as Head of Finance. Lin will be the Head of Finance across all the Jungle funds. He will be in charge of portfolio financial reporting, LP reporting, due diligence on new investments and also providing operating support to portfolio companies in terms of process improvements and accounting.

The company also appointed Menka Sajnani as Director of Corporate Development. She will be responsible for building corporate, strategic and investor relations both for Jungle and their portfolio companies. Most recently, she was Regional Manager in the new business team at Google, Southeast Asia. Prior to that, Menka spent seven years at HQ Capital, where she was primarily responsible for making investments in private equity and venture capital funds, with a focus on Southeast Asia and India.

Vuclip Appoints Gets A New Country Manager For India

Vuclip appointed Vishal Maheshwari as the country manager for India. Maheshwari will be responsible for consumer adoption, engagement and monetisation in India. Prior to joining Vuclip, he worked as the CEO of Universal Training Solutions for about two years, before which he was a founding partners at Serendipity Investments. He worked as the senior director and head of monetisation at Yahoo as well. He is a business executive with 23+ years of operations & strategy experience across CPG, Telecom, Consumer & Mobile Internet.

Lazoi Appoints Rupak Sengupta

Lazoi appointed Rupak Sengupta as co-founder. Sengupta will be spearheading the brand and marketing verticals, and will put to use his in-depth experience and brand-building skills in order to consolidate Lazoi’s presence in the online healthcare segment. He is a post-graduate from XLRI, Jamshedpur and comes with 25 years of experience in building brands and new business extension opportunities. He has conceptualised and launched multiple brand campaigns for companies like Bayer, Godrej Agrovet and BCCL.

Matchmaking app Woo Hires Former McKinsey, Aircel Exec.

Woo appointed former McKinsey executive Sanem Erucar and ex-Aircel executive Ritesh Bhatnagar to head the company’s product and growth marketing divisions, respectively. The duo will work on devising new strategic initiatives to drive domestic and international growth. He describes himself as a multifaceted professional with experience spanning from marketing, advertising and sales across diverse industries. He is an INSEAD and IIM alum.

Rubique Appoints Jayatri Dasgupta As Marketing Head

Rubique appointed Jayatri Dasgupta as its Marketing Head. In her new role, Jayatri will be responsible for designing and implementing the brand and marketing strategy that strengthens Rubique’s position as the leader in its category. Prior to Rubique, Jayatri was heading the Marketing function at ezeego1 & Cox and Kings online.  With over 14 years of work experience, she has played key roles in global companies like Cleartrip and Google in the past, driving their ecommerce and digital marketing initiatives. She has been recognized with multiple fraternity awards, including the CMO Asia Top 100 Marketers in India in 2015. Jayatri was also a proud recipient of the “ABP NEWS Women Super Achiever for Brand Excellence” in November 2014, as recognized by the ABP group, CMO Asia and The World Marketing Congress.

OYO Rooms Appoints Dinesh R As CHRO

OYO Rooms appointed Dinesh R as Chief Human Resources Officer. Prior to this, he was leading Compensation & Benefits in the APAC region for The Coca-Cola Company. Dinesh is a seasoned HR professional with past tenures at Bharti Airtel, Hewitt Associates and ITC Limited.

S. Subramaniam CFO Of Titan Joins Innoviti Board

Innoviti Payment Solutions appointed. S. Subramaniam on Innoviti’s Board of Directors. He currently heads the Finance and IT functions for Titan. He has been driving strategic finance & has been a part of top management teams for the past decade. As part of his role on the Board, Subramaniam will be guiding Rajeev Agrawal, Innoviti’s MD & CEO and the leadership team, on the overall financial & operational aspects of business strategy as the firm scales up its flagship solutions – uniPAY and smelending.com.
