The former national sales manager of LinkedIn, Tejinder Gill has joined Truecaller as its Vice President of Sales and Head of India operations. Gill will build monetisation strategies and run the India operations.

He replaces Kari Krishnamurthy, who will be moving to the company’s Stockholm head office to lead global brand initiatives.

Gill had been a part of the core leadership team of LinkedIn in India since 2010. He has also worked with Yahoo India, where he headed sales at verticals such as auto, consumer durables and technology.

Devanshi Patel Joins Investopad

Early-stage investment firm Investopad has appointed Devanshi Patel to its team. She will be assessing opportunities and working closely to help accelerate startups, which we are getting to know, by bringing them expertise and access through our global network of technology leaders.

Born and raised in California, Devanshi is a graduate of Stanford University. She will also work with B2B startups leverage her cross-border background for Indian-built SaaS companies looking at foreign markets.

Prior to Investopad, Devanshi worked in Sales Strategy and Marketing at Box in San Francisco. At Box, Devanshi worked closely with senior management to oversee Box’s expansion into Australia & New Zealand from the perspective of financial and go-to-market strategy. She also worked with Box.org — the non-profit vertical — on corporate social responsibility initiatives.

She also previously worked on telecom and technology policy for the Office of Hillary Clinton during her tenure as Secretary of State.

Porter Appoints Subir Ghosh, Former CEO Of Planet M, To Its Advisory Board

Porter, a tech-enabled intra-city logistics provider, has announced the appointment of seasoned intrapreneur, Subir Ghosh to its Advisory Board. Subir was a former Director at Aegis Aspire Consultancy Services Ltd and former CEO of Planet M Retail Ltd.

Earlier, as a part of the startup team at The Mobile Store, he conceptualised and launched the first 200 stores of the brand. He has been instrumental in creating The Institute of Customer Experience Management in partnership with the Singapore-based Service Quality Centre and IIM Indore, which was later acquired by Manipal Global Education Group in 2013.

As part of Porter’s advisory board, Subir will assist the team with strategy and planning, with the core aim of providing the best experience to the drivers as well as customers on the platform.

OYO Appoints Anil Goel As Chief Technology Officer

OYO has appointed Anil Goel as Chief Technology Officer. In his new role, he will provide strategic direction and strengthen the technology infrastructure be powering the company’s business operations.

Anil joins OYO following a three-year tenure at Amazon.com as the Global Head of Technology (CTO) for Customer Returns and Reverse Logistics business. Prior to this, Anil was the CTO at Hike Messenger.

He has also spent 15 years in Seattle, working in various technology development and leadership roles at RealNetworks, Capgemini, and HyperQuality.

Anil has nearly 20 years of experience in building complex software applications & systems, technology infrastructure, and businesses to drive revenue growth, expand customer base and boost profitability.

At OYO, Anil will be responsible for driving the technology strategy and roadmap and cohesively integrating it with OYO’s business strategy, simultaneously identifying new opportunities, managing the R&D department, monitoring technological and social trends, communicating the technology plan to partners, management and employees, while maintaining current information regarding technology standards.

Anil holds a B.E. (Hons.) in Electrical & Electronics from BITS Pilani and earned his MBA in Marketing from City University of Seattle.
