With an attempt to improve energy efficiency, Indus Net Technologies and E-Cube Energy have joined hands to develop a cloud based platform Motor Tool that uses Big Data and technology for management and utilisation of industrial energy.

The B2B app aims to enable industries to optimise energy cost through performance enhancement of Electric Motors & Motor Driven Systems (EMDS) and thereby reducing overall energy footprint. It also connects with existing data aggregation devices. Motor Tool will be launched in Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Malaysia in the next three-six months.

According to an International Energy Association (IEA) report, the efficiency of motor driven systems can be increased by around 20%

Abhishek Rungta, CEO, Indus Net Technologies said, “We are happy to develop and launch Motor Tool that will play an instrumental role in addressing energy efficiency improvement potential across electric motor driven systems. Motor Tool will provide automated insights on the operational performance of motors/ motor driven systems through its integral intelligent algorithm system.  It will help the evaluation experts and the decision makers to reconcile the benefits and cost assessment of energy saving.”

Motor Tool’s user base includes industries, consultants, OEMs, energy auditors, and ESCOs. India Power Corporation Limited has also signed up to use Motor Tool across industries in its licensed area in Asansol, West Bengal. Based on the result of the pilot project, India Power intends to take the offering to the next level and explore demand side management programmes.

Its energy management mechanism would provide systematic assessment, analysis and prepare reports on the performance and energy consumption of motor or motor-driven systems in the industry.  By enabling the industries to make decisions which will help in improving the energy efficiency of EMDS. Motor Tool has been tested on more than 5000 motors.

It also aims to address issues of energy affordability, industrial productivity, improved asset values and less environmental damage through less carbon emission.

Umesh Bhutoria, founder, and CEO, E-Cube Energy said, “Globally there is a huge opportunity to improve the energy efficiency in the industrial sector. It is an effective medium to equip companies with practices and procedures to make improvements and capture new opportunities to enhance technical performance of electric motor driven systems.”

Indus Net Technologies was founded by Abhishek Rungta. It is an IT Service, outsourcing & Internet strategy company. According to the company’s website it has offices in more than five locations and caters to enterprise clients, digital agencies and emerging companies across various industry verticals like BFSI, MPE, travel & hospitality, education, e-governance in more than 40 countries.

E-Cube Energy helps industries/utilities with their energy data strategy. The company’s flagship cloud-based energy analytics platform EnView provides services for sectors like Textiles and Foundry.

Prior to this development, Indus Net Technologies had acquired InFluxERP in March 2016 and a digital marketing startup TechShu in April 2016.
