Microsoft Ventures To Host Pivot, A Hire-a-Thon – Platform For Connecting Startups With Job Seekers

Employment has always been the matter of concern for the 1 Bn population in India. However, on the contrary companies are found saying that there is a lack of appropriate talent. To match companies’ expectations with that of job seekers, Microsoft Ventures will host Pivot, a hire-a-thon, to provide a platform to startup enthusiasts meet some of the hottest startups and explore opportunities to work with them. The two day event is scheduled for April 3-4, 2015, at the Microsoft Ventures office.

Pivot  will act as a platform where startup enthusiasts will get to meet some of the well-known startups of the ecosystem and explore the opportunity to work with them. The event is aimed at breaking the clutter and offering a platform for startups and enthusiasts, to be with people who are willing to work with them to make it happen.

More than 23 startups from the Microsoft Ventures’ portfolio, who are on a look out for passionate and like-minded team members will be present during the event. The startups are planning to intake for more than 60 positions in various fields arraying from technology, marketing, design and sales. The event is focused to churn the right candidate and build a team that can create success stories like that of Nowfloats, Healthifyme and AdPushup, in startup domain.

Ravi Narayan, Managing Director, Microsoft Ventures comments on the Pivot, a hire-a-thon hiring by saying that it is necessary to have a right time as it forms the foundation of any successful startup story. There is plenty of talent available, but finding the kind of talent with the startup spark among so many is a challenge.

The two day event is scheduled for April 3rd & 4th. Interested candidates can register online without paying any fee. Participants will be shortlisted amongst the registered candidates. Shortlisted participants will receive an invite to the event.
