14 enterprise tech startups have been graduated from the 10th cohort of Microsoft Accelerator. Microsoft Accelerator began the cohort in March 2017.
The startups were selected based on the recommendations of VC firms – including Inventus Capital Partners, Ideaspring Capital, Accel Partners, IDG Ventures, and pi Ventures.
As per an official statement, 7 of the 14 selected startups have an average annual revenue rate (ARR) of $1.5 Mn and average funding of $3.2 Mn. The Seed-stage startups chosen for their deep tech-driven offerings have an average ARR of $200K and an average funding of $1.5 Mn.
These startups were given a chance to work closely with Microsoft’s sales & marketing teams and partners including Wipro, TCS, and Temasek. Also, the startups adopted Microsoft Azure to make use of its advanced cloud services.
The graduating Microsoft Accelerator cohort was presented to an audience of over 400 representatives from leading corporates, investors, industry thought leaders, and Microsoft leadership.
During the event, Microsoft also showcased the winners of the ‘Hackathon for India Stack’, which was held on June 3-4 2017, in partnership with Accenture. The winners were chosen from a pool of over 200 registered teams. The hackathon invited participants to solve social problems using India Stack. The hackathon was judged by a panel including Bala Girisaballa, Avnish Sabharwal, Managing Director, Ventures & Open Innovation, Accenture and Sanjay Jain, Fellow, iSPIRT.

Microsoft Accelerator’s latest cohort belonged to the realm of enterprise tech startups. Prior to this in March 2016, Microsoft Accelerator announced the names of 12 startups that were selected for its eighth Accelerator batch of its Hi-Po & Scale-Up Programme. The cohort was selected from over 2,100 applications. In June 2016, Microsoft also entered into a global partnership with Singapore-based investment company Temasek to help support and scale startups across the world. Following that, it selected 13 startups for its ninth cohort.
