While Uber is facing tough time in taking a way out to ride with ease in the country, other cab operators seems to have working hard to move ahead Uber in every possible way. Recently, Ola introduced Ola wallet and now Meru has gone Uber way by rolling out cash free travel for its customers.
Mobile wallet powered by Citrus will allow customers register and load money into the app via credit card, debit card or through netbanking. This amount can be used at a click of a button from the app to make payments for their journey.
The company has introduced zero-click checkout system, means one can simply book a cab, and walkout without have to pay or even flash mobile as the amount will be directly debited from Citrus mobile wallet.
“We have seen an increase in adoption of smart phones and we understand how a good cab app makes the travel experience enjoyable,” said Siddhartha Pahwa, chief executive officer of Meru.
With this, Meru has also introduced features like one-touch booking, tracking the cab, and booking a week in advance.
