Looking at the aggressive growth and marketing strategies picked by various cab operators in the country, Meru which doesn’t want to lag behind the competition has announced that it is integrating with Google Now.

With this integration, now the app will be able to send passengers pickup reminders, alerts in case users wish to avail of a cab depending on their location and other related information through Now cards within the Google app for Android.

Rathin Lahiri, Chief Marketing Officer of Meru Cabs said, “At Meru Cabs, it is always our endeavour to constantly explore and develop innovative technology solutions that benefit our end consumers. With Meru Cab’s integration on the Google app, customers on the go can now tap into a seamless and good quality cab experience.  We are proud to be the first Indian cab service to offer this feature in partnership with Google.”

Users could simply download the new updated app from the app markets and experience new services at a touch.

Mumbai-based Meru cabs was founded by Neeraj Gupta in 2011 and currently, it has operations in 15 cities and looking forward to expand its operations in other cities as well. Meru is currently looking to raise about $100-150 Mn for expansion and technology upgrades.
