Meet The Four IoT-Focused Startups That Pitched At The Deloitte Morning Pitch In Gurugram

Bringing its popular “Morning Pitch” tradition from Japan to the startup ecosystem in India, Deloitte hosted the seventh edition of Morning Pitch today (August 13) in Gurugram.

In the past five years, this event has enabled hundreds of business alliances and tens of mergers, alliances and IPOs. In India, the Morning Pitch has brought together various investors, startup enthusiasts as well as startups across segments.

In the past Indian editions, startups including Scribble Data, Ayasta, Minance, InTain, Niramai, Ethereal Machines, TagBox Solutions, Artivatic.Ai pitched to the attendees from large Japanese corporations Murata, Rakuten, Nomura, Toyota Tsusho, international corporations such as Bosch and Nvidia, along with VCs and ecosystem stakeholders such as Blume Ventures, Intuit Circles, Headstart.

For the seventh edition, Deloitte narrowed down on one of the raging advanced technologies — Internet of Things — and selected four startups in the domain to pitch to the investors. The organisers have now planned to narrow down the domain focus for each event so that the investment plan and understanding a business model is easier and communicable.

According to a report by the International Data Corporation, the global IoT market is set to hit $1.7 Tn by 2020. In India, the IoT market is poised to touch $15 Bn by 2020, according to NASSCOM. The trade association also predicts that by 2020, India will account for nearly 5% of the global IoT market.

According to estimates, of the existing 971 IoT startups in India, 70% were set up after 2010. Bengaluru remains the biggest hub as it is home to 51% of these IoT startups. IoT startups are evenly distributed across segments such as healthcare, transport, agritech, services, and logistics.

LocoNav

Founded in: 2015

Founders: Shridhar Gupta and Vidit Jain

Business: LocoNav offers fleet management solutions, vehicle tracking system, FASTag and AIS 140 certified GPS tracker services. By leveraging intelligent analytics and IoT, the startup promises lower running costs of vehicles, greater security and faster turnarounds.

FuelArk

Founded in: 2014

Founders: Avnish Kumar and Sunil Duggal

Business: FuelArk offers a range of customized solutions for both stationary and mobile assets. From telecommunication towers to the automotive industry, FuelArk provides customers with the ability to manage all types of remote assets through one smart, integrated platform.

Liradolf

Founded in: 2014

Founders: Santosh Gonzalves and Anil Rajveer Sharmaa

Business: Liradolf develops standard products that help manufacturing companies improve their operational efficiencies. Its flagship product “ManufNext” is an industrial IoT enabled product

M2IoT

Founded in: 2015

Founders: Murali Raghunathan and Mallikarjuna Reddy V

Business: M2IoT has developed a low cost Industrial IoT platform that can network and integrate pure play mechanical machines along with CNC /NC machines to capture the production metrics in a shop floor. The platform is a combination of software and hardware that can be hosted within the client’s premise or in the cloud.
