US-based management company Awesome Motive, which offers website tools and marketing software to small businesses to scale, has acquired Bengaluru-based browser push notifications platform PushEngage.

The Indian company believes that Awesome Motive’s vast resources and deep understanding of the marketing industry will bring more “powerful” solutions to their platform. It will continue to operate independently with the entire team joining Awesome Motive. PushEngage’s founder Ravi Trivedi will continue to lead the team, along with Awesome Motive CEO, Syed Balkhi.

PushEngage will leverage the scale and knowledge of the Awesome Motive team to build more innovative solutions to help you maximise the full power of push notifications. It will also be building deeper integration with other Awesome Motive Products and popular platforms like WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify, MemberPress and others.

“In the coming months, you can expect to see easier workflows to set up highly personalised push notifications campaigns that have proven to drive results, improved opt-in technology that’ll help you get even more subscribers, and introduction of new message channels that you can use to expand your reach,” Trivedi said.

Further, Trivedi added, “We first started talking about joining forces a few years back, in the early days of PushEngage. In our initial conversations, one thing became very clear: we share a similar commitment to excellence, customers, and team.”

Awesome Motive is a management company, which has created software like WordPress’s WPBeginner, WPForms, MonsterInsights.SeedProd, RafflePress, Smash Balloon and WP Mail SMTP, conversion optimisation platform OptinMonster. The company was founded in 2009 in Florida, US.

Meanwhile, PushEngage was founded in 2016 by Trivedi to optimise push notification and help with marketing activities for businesses. The company has more than 10,000k customers across 150 countries, sending out over 9 Bn notifications each month.

Many startups such as Wingify, Wigzo, Hornell, Notify Visitors, PushEngage, MoEngage, and WebEngage, among others are successfully using push notifications to help their clients and brands keep their customers engaged.

According to CleverTap’s cofounder Anand Jain, an average consumer now receives 46 push notifications every single day. Early mornings between 6-8 AM and evenings between 10-midnight is when the fewest notifications are sent. He also noted that Online eyewear company Lenskart saw 68% higher engagement levels with push notifications that were personalised using customer insights collected from both on-and offline data sources.
