Hyderabad-based live service and game production startup Liquidnitro Games has secured $5.25 Mn (around INR 43 Cr) in a seed funding round led by Nexus Venture Partners.

Founded in 2023 by Sandeep Kowdley, Krishna Dhanekula, Arun Kunchala, and Suresh Manthena, Liquidnitro leverages data, AI and technology driven insights to craft fun and engaging experiences for players.

The startup partners with games studios and IP owners worldwide to help unlock growth, profitability, and expansion into new markets. Liquidnitro is partnering with global games companies to leverage its value proposition and explore new market opportunities in India and beyond.

Kowdley said, “Live services and game production will look significantly different in the coming years shaped by new technologies, AI, and untapped growth markets. By combining our deep history in the games industry, making significant technology investments, and partnering with global game companies, we believe we have the opportunity to make a huge impact in the coming future.”

India’s gaming space has been gaining investors traction for quite sometime now.

Earlier this year, sportstech startup SportVot bagged INR 9.4 Cr in pre-Series A funding led Omidyar Network to expand its tech capabilities and product offerings.

Recently, at the Meta Gaming Summit in Mumbai, Meta’s India MD Sandhya Devananthan said that the Indian gaming space is estimated to reach almost $7.5 Bn market size and generate 250,000 jobs by the next year.

To boost the gaming industry, the Karnataka government partnered with Games24x7 to launch an online gaming accelerator initiative called GameTech Accelerate – The Future of Gaming. The official statement read that the programme would mentor online gaming startups offering ‘innovative and viable’ solutions.
