Infosys co-founders Kris Gopalakrishnan and S D Shibulal, along with the company’s former board member Srinath Batni are co-investing $1 Mn in Bangalore-based ecommerce platform SellerworX Online Services. With this, the three have also put in $2 Mn in Mysuru-based clean energy startup Vigyanlabs.
These investments are made through their newly launched Axilor Ventures, said sources. However, the trio declined commenting on any such development.
SellerworX was launched by Venkat Potluri, Ganesamurthy G and Chandramouli, all IIM alums and work towards improving retail supply chain in India.
Kris Gopalakrishnan and SD Shibulal with Srinath Batni, former Infosys board member Tarun Khanna, Jorge Paulo Lemann, professor at Harvard Business School and director of South Institute at Harvard, and Ganapathy Venugopal, former head of strategy and planning at Infosys had launched Axilor Ventures last year. Ganapathy Venugopal, was appointed as the chief executive officer at Axilor and will spearhead the venture.
Axilor will be helping startups working in ecommerce, healthcare, life sciences, sustainability and clean technology domain.
