Indian Railway official e-ticketing service Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC) has finally launched its Android mobile app to enable users to book tickets on-the-go. The app named as IRCTC Connect, it will allow users to book tickets, check out their existing reservations or cancel them, and get upcoming journey alerts.
Existing users can use their IRCTC website login credentials to use the app.
The good thing about the app is this that it retains the passenger details for the recently booked train tickets, so that the users don’t have to enter their details again and again.
But the biggest problem with the app is that one can access the app only between 8.00AM to 12.00PM. During this period, the travellers can only get their bookings done via the IRCTC website or physical booking counters.
IRCTC has provided a complete manual on how and what all purposes the app can be used.
The app is simple to use, but however while going through the user reviews we found people complaining of issues such as lack of synchronization between the website account and mobile app account, people were also seen complaining about that they cannot change password.
The size of the app is 12MB and has got 4.3 star ratings from about 797 users.
IRCTC already has a Blackberry App.
Download the app from the playstore and let us know your review in comment section below.
