Invest India Launches Business Immunity Platform To Meet Medical Supplies Demand For Covid-19

India’s national investment promotion and facilitation agency, Invest India, has launched the Business Immunity Platform (BIP) to match the demand and supply of medical necessities — masks, sanitisers, wipes, ventilators and more — during the time of coronavirus pandemic.

“This platform also provides the ability to join the dots to find matching suppliers with required supplies and for innovators, startups and MSMEs to showcase their solutions,” Deepak Bagla, MD and CEO of  Invest India, said in a press note.

Besides this, the platform to help businesses and investors get real-time updates on the steps taken against the coronavirus or covid-19 pandemic.

The platform will act as a comprehensive resource for all information and settings related to coronavirus impact and development in India. The Invest India Business Immunity Platform will allow the business and investors to keep a tab on the latest information on central and state government initiatives, and get access to special provisions.

Besides that, the stakeholders can also get their queries answered by a team of dedicated sector experts through emails and on WhatsApp. For queries related to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME), Invest India has partnered with Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI). Invest India has assured that all queries will be answered at the earliest.

Meanwhile, the platform will also answer several other frequently asked questions relegated to coronavirus pandemic in India. This questionnaire will also include questions related to location for covid-19 testing, special permissions and other location-specific information.

The Business Immunity Platform will also map out the response mechanism put in place by Indian companies to ensure minimum exposure of their customers and employees. This can include the steps taken to ensure the sanitation of staff and vehicles, placing orders in alternate markets, setting up of medical task force, business continuity plan, resorting to tech and digital solutions and others.

“While COVID-19  continues to disrupt normal life, the impact of this crisis on businesses across the country is being continuously assessed. The government, for its part, has issued timely guidelines for businesses. Business owners have been trying to grasp what these guidelines mean for their businesses. Realizing the uncertainty that the Corona crisis has caused among businesses, the platform was launched on March 21, 2020.” Invest India said, in a press note.

Bagla highlighted that the Business Immunity Platform has been visited by over 30K people from over 40 countries, along with 50K hits on the platform in the last 48 hours. The platform has received 200 business requests since March 23, 2020.
