One of the country’s coolest co-working spaces Innov8 CoWorking, which had opened its first centre in Delhi October last year, has just marched into The City Beautiful – Chandigarh with its new centre. Innov8 Chandigarh centre, located in the Ground Floor of City Emporium Mall, Sector 29 Chandigarh, is built on an area of 7,000 square feet and has a carpet area of 5,000 square feet. The centre can accommodate up to 140 people.
The Chandigarh centre like its Delhi counterpart boasts of creative interiors, with much detail paid to the kind of lighting, the ergonomically designed seats, and the artwork. The entire place has a vibe of energy and spark-an ideal space for all the young millennials to focus on their work, meet new people and build value for their projects.
Adds Ritesh, “Chandigarh the City Beautiful, has a charm in itself. The city known for its quality of life & infrastructure has started gauging a lot of interest for the entrepreneurs, freelancers & the business community. We love Chandigarh & had always thought of that why isn’t there a good coworking space in the tricity area? That led to Innov8 Chandigarh. After Innov8 Connaught Place, there was a lot of pressure on us when it came to design expectations. We wanted to go with bold and minimal design theme and use the tall ceiling to our advantage. We chose to create a mix & match of bland black environment & colourful & playful lounges, making the space full of energy, enthusiasm & passion led vibrancy.”
Bright lights, dull walls, wood panelling on walls, cheerful and inspiring artwork on the walls, much like the Delhi centre add to the character of the place. The place has open work stations to cabins to cosy huddle spaces-everything an entrepreneur could need!
Art work of many a varied hues marks the place. From inspiring posters on the walls to pillars draped with vegetation to inspiring words painted on the staircase, there’s enough food for thought for every entrepreneur who would work out of this place!
Innov8 is the brainchild of Dr Ritesh Malik, Shailesh Gupta, and Sumit Ranka and aims to get the best of minds together and just be the right launch pad to foster free thinking, innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship. The Delhi centre had received a whopping 1,000 applications when it opened, and now houses 50 companies and 150 members. Recently, Innov8 has also on boarded, Shailesh Gupta as the COO of Innov8. Shailesh was previously working on his app Workplaces in Sunnyvale, Bay Area, SF and is now the second largest shareholder of the company.

When questioned about where the next centre would be, Ritesh stated that it is still to be decided. What we can decidedly say after looking at these pictures is that wherever it is, it will be awesome!
