Eyeing advancements in artificial intelligence and to foster innovation across sectors, tech giant Infosys has expanded its partnership with Meta to unveil Meta centre of excellence (COE).

The COE is aimed at enterprise AI integration and will also aid in internal adoption and contribution to open-source groups.

Further, this partnership is aimed at accelerating the adoption of Meta’s Llama (Large Language Model Meta AI) stack, one of its open-source large language models (LLM) and tools to enable tech professionals get their hands on the stack to develop industry-specific use cases.

Infosys said this collaboration with the social media giant will also help its customers to seamlessly adopt the Llama stack.

This development comes months after Meta rolled out its largest-ever open source AI model Llama 3.1, in July, which competes against AI models like GPT-4.0 and Claude 3.5 Sonnet.

Furthermore, as a part of the centre of excellence, Infosys also launched a dedicated AI Experience Zone for Meta at its Bengaluru workstation, to offer customers a demo experience of the enterprise AI advancements developed by Infosys Topaz in collaboration with Meta’s Llama technology.

“By integrating Meta’s Llama family of models into Infosys Topaz, we are harnessing the power of collaboration and transparency to make AI accessible and impactful for all businesses,” said Balakrishna D R, executive vice president, global services head, AI and Industry Verticals at Infosys.
