Early stage Investor, India Quotient, has announced MobileIQ, a competition for early stage mobile startups. The winners will receive funding of INR 50 Lakh.

To be organised in IIT-M from 16th to 18th January, the startups will also receive additional benefits such as, top 5 teams will get media coverage, mentorship by top industry experts and a startup kit containing essential resources to build mobile startups.

The competition aims to judge the winner based on the aspects like venture description, market analysis, unique value proposition, competitive landscape, revenue model and social impact.

Students, working professionals or teams, can participate. However, ventures that have acquired more than $1 Mn funding cannot participate.

The first round of the competition begins with online applications consisting of plan descriptions and the top 25 teams qualify for next round.

The selected teams get a chance to have a networking dinner with top Startups, VCs and Mentors. This is followed by One to One mentoring session with top industry experts & entrepreneurs. In the final event, all the teams are allowed 4 minutes to launch their product and 1 minute for Q&A.
