If you want to travel to an unknown destination just to taste the local tea or plan a journey to the green hills to stare at the rising moon or sit in an archaic monastery for it to take you to an ancient timeline, then the bug has bit you. It’s called wanderlust.
But to make a perfect holiday, you need to know the right hotels, places, sightseeing, transport. Thus, travel planning portal comes in handy.
HolidayIQ.com, a premier holiday information portal, has recently launched its app on the Google Playstore and the iOS store. With intuitive UX, this app aims to help people looking to plan a holiday with travel advice shared by a million other Indian travellers.
In an earlier interaction with Inc42, Hari told that 50% of HolidayIQ.com’s audience use mobile devices to access content and the company expects that this trend will grow further over time. And thus it was also upgrading its m-site on to a more robust platform that can massively scale up.
Few of its unique features include:
- Map based hotel search option where in addition to directions and cost you can also see average user rating of hotels
- Direct click to call option to 50,000 Indian hotels for the discerning Indian traveller who likes to find a hotel at the best possible value.
Users can also share holiday reviews through text, photos and videos on the go using the app.
HolidayIQ covers 2000 destinations, 50,000 hotels across India. It also allows travellers to compare prices from 100+ vendors & book accommodation at the lowest available price. It works with online travel agencies, traditional travel agencies and hotels.
Going forward, HolidayIQ plans to get 2.5 Cr Indians to plan their holidays using its platform in next 3 years.
