Inc42 Daily Brief
Stay Ahead With Daily News & Analysis on India’s Tech & Startup Economy
For those who do not ‘eat, pray, love’ and breathe startups, entrepreneurial ventures are shrouded in a maze of fascination, mystery and money!
Comedian Appurv Gupta, in his web-series ‘Mudde Ki Baat’, represented an outsider’s view of the budding startup ecosystem in which he compares the young entrepreneurs to the ‘Romeos’ of the world. Because just like the romeo being present to woo his damsel in distress (or not) at every twist and turn, entrepreneurs today have come out with platforms & technologies to be there for every part of an user’s life
There is an app for everything, be it ordering food, hiring a cab, delivering groceries. You name it and they have it. Entrepreneurs and their products have reinstated the idea of couch potatoes as most people refrain from stepping out of the house.
Gupta also makes a point that while years back the amount of ‘INR 1000 Crore’ were used for making references to scams, today, it seems like a small thing as ‘20-year-olds are getting funded major bucks left, right, and center!’
He goes on to joke that the advent of e-wallet technology has made it difficult for someone to refuse a loan to her/his friend.
Overall, his take on the emerging startup world, that’s full of opportunities and endless possibilities, is humorous and entertaining.
