Internet of things made everyone aware about their state be it social, psychological or medical. Given how doctors provide consult online is on a rise, startups seem to tread in this unexplored area as well and gain popularity. Enough said, Mumbai-based HW Wellness Solutions Pvt Ltd the company behind HealthyWorld.in which is an online healthcare products store has raised $200K from a group of investors.

The group included a  a digital media serial entrepreneur, surgeon and an NRI, according to a top executive of the company. This rise is evident as it is second fund raised within a day by a startup from this sector. First being Ekincare which raised INR1 Cr. from US based Adroitnet.

The raised fund will be used to market the website and incorporate offline integration and private labelling. Puru Gupta, co-founder of HealthyWorld.in said,”Our strengths lie in identifying the right products and services for the users. We would continue to focus on health and are delighted to find like-minded investors”.

The company had previously raised an undisclosed amount from Krishna Vishwanath, former Cognizant Consulting employee. The company was founded in May 2011 by Puru Gupta and Sreejith Moolayil. The company claims of selling more than 4,000 products and has tied up with 200 dieticians and nutritionists.
