Guiddoo Raises Seed Funding; Plans To Fuel Expansion & Product Innovation

Mumbai-based Guiddoo, a mobile tour guiding app, has raised an undisclosed amount of seed funding from a group of angel investors including Pawan Borle, SVP Fly Dubai, Abrar Ahmad, Nirmal Singh, Management Team Ducab, Vishal Shah, Sanjay Shah and Ushik Gala.

Guiddoo’s is an in-destination travel app founded by Vineet Budki in 2013. Its mobile app provides an in-depth and highly researched audio visual guide to world famous monuments and attractions such as the Taj Mahal, Statue of Liberty, The Colosseum, Eiffel Tower, Angkor Wat, as well as modern monuments like the Burj Khalifa.

An interactive app it allows for social sharing from within the app. Once downloaded on an Android smartphone or an iPhone, it does not require an Internet connection to access. Guiddoo is both a response to and a replacement for audio guides and other alternatives that are currently prevalent in the market.

Vineet Budki, Founder, Guiddoo said, “The funding will help us create curated content for the top 25 inbound destinations globally and build a solution for India specifically, which will be available in multiple Indian languages. We are also in discussion with leading venture capital Investors for series A funding. Dexter Capital Advisors is exclusive advisor for our Series A funding”.

Company has curated content for over 300+ monuments, attractions and locations around the world. The app has over 100K downloads, 7 screens per session usage and very high user engagement. The company continues to add 500-1000 new users a day. Further, Guiddoo’s Business Devision provides plug and play solutions to travel operators (OTA’s, Tour Operators, DMC’s, Tourism Boards, etc) across the globe who want to engage the customers during their leisure or business trip.
