In his new role, Gupta will lead GoKwik’s custom checkout vertical, focused on enhancing and scaling solutions for shoppers across diverse ecommerce platforms.
Prior to joining GoKwik, he served as director of product management at Swiggy. During his tenure at the foodtech major, he spearheaded major growth initiatives, including partnership with IRCTC.
Before Swiggy, Gupta held leadership positions at Dineout as director of product for over two years, where he advanced customer loyalty and engagement initiatives. He also served various product roles at Paytm for nearly four years, playing a critical role in advancing customer support infrastructure.
“Sharad’s expertise in building impactful products makes him an ideal leader to drive our checkout solutions forward,” said Chirag Taneja, cofounder and CEO of GoKwik.
Gupta said, “What excites me most about joining GoKwik is the team’s passion for making digital commerce easy and seamless for everyone.”
GoKwik, founded in 2020 by Taneja, Ankush Talwar, and Vivek Bajpai, offers AI-powered solutions, including Kwik Checkout, RTO Suite, and enhanced UPI, helping ecommerce businesses improve conversion rates by up to 30% and reduce return-to-origin rates.
It has over 120 Mn shoppers in its network and is now eyeing expansion into Latin America, GCC countries, Indonesia, and parts of Europe and the US.
The Gurugram-based startup houses over 10,000 brands in its network including Lenskart, Neemans, Man Matters, Shoppers Stop, among others, ranging from fashion, beauty, health and nutrition, electronics and other key categories of the online shopping space.
In September, GoKwik acquired Shopify’s top-rated ‘Shop Direct’ app for an undisclosed amount to strengthen its direct-to-consumer (D2C) offerings. The company’s leadership includes talents from Amazon, Myntra, Google, Nykaa and more.
