Cloud-based business software provider Freshworks (previously, Freshdesk) has launched its latest product, Freshteam, a recruitment management software that enables businesses to efficiently organise their talent acquisition function. Targeted at recruiters, the CRM software allows businesses to engage with candidates and better align the human resource department to business goals.

Girish Mathrubootham, founder and CEO of Freshworks stated, “During the early days of Freshworks, it was a big challenge to get candidate experience right. Recruiters have a tough job of simultaneously managing candidates, interviewers and external staffing vendors for every opening to deliver the best hiring experience. Our talent acquisition team needed a unified way to manage all the touch-points of the candidate life cycle, much like how customer interactions and sales leads are managed through a CRM.”

He added that, as Freshworks tried to solve for it, it wanted to build a solution that puts Candidate Relationship Management right at the centre of an organisation’s talent acquisition process. So, it built Freshteam, ‘a recruitment management solution that transforms hiring experience for recruiters as well as candidates, while helping organisations grow even faster.’

Freshteam aims to improve the hiring experience for not just recruiters but also every stakeholder involved the hiring process. It helps businesses deliver an exceptional end-to-end hiring and candidate management experience.

Recruiters can manage the entire recruitment process all under one platform. In addition to the standard market features like job posting management and interview scheduling, recruiters can attract top talent through multiple sourcing channels including social media channels. Through Freshteam, they can contextually collaborate with hiring teams, engage with candidates directly from the application tracking system (ATS), get organised by building candidate databases that help archive candidate profiles and leverage a mobile-friendly version to be connected on the go.

Currently, to encourage SMBs to focus on their hiring experience, Freshteam will be available free of cost for companies with less than 50 employees. Post that, prices range from $50 per 50 employees for companies with 250 employees with the top-end version costing $250 per 50 employees. Meanwhile, in future product releases, Freshteam will integrate with other Freshworks software as well.

Other players in the ATS field include Recruiterbox, Breezy HR, among others. Tech giant Google is also venturing into this space with Hire. As per an India Skills Report, the average increase in hiring intent is about 7%-10%, compared to last year.

The Freshteam recruitment software is the latest offering in sync with Freshworks’ mission to build software that helps its customers manage every critical business function. In July this year, it had acquired Joe Hukum, a platform that enables businesses to build their chatbots, based on logical workflows. Freshworks currently competes with global players like Zendesk and Salesforce.
