This led us to think a lot about how we can help this rising sector. With this in mind, Inc42 announced FAST42, the go-to destination to know India’s leading D2C brands, in 2021.
In partnership with Shiprocket, Inc42 last month announced the second edition of FAST42, where we are seeking to recognise India’s fastest-growing D2C brands.
Clearly, word of the inaugural edition’s super success has spread across the country. So much so that we’ve received over 450 applications already, with more pouring in each day.
Inc42 prides itself on having watched and fostered the D2C ecosystem since 2015. From the incorporation of several digital-first startups to now, when many such startups are evolving and adopting an omnichannel approach, the D2C ecosystem in the country has come a long way.
We at Inc42 are thrilled by the stupendous response received from the D2C ecosystem for FAST42’s second edition. More importantly, we received several requests from many D2C brands seeking additional time to furnish the necessary details to participate in the event.
Based on these requests, we are pleased to announce that the deadline for sending applications for FAST42 has been extended till November 22, 2022. So what are you waiting for?
Announcing The Jury
To help Inc42 shine the spotlight and give the up-and-coming innovative D2C brands their due credit, we’ve assembled a jury panel comprising some of the biggest names in the D2C space.
Presenting to you FAST42’s esteemed jury which is tasked with selecting the winning brands in the ‘Emerging’ category:
The panel comprises Akshay Ghulati, cofounder of Shiprocket; Arjun Vaidya, ventures lead for India at Verlinvest; Chinmaya Saxena, partner, community strategy at BEENEXT; Sanil Sachar, founding partner of Huddle; Sreekanth Perepu, the head of venture capital at Jubilant Bhartia Group; and Prasun Agarwal, Partner at A91 Partners.
The panel will take a deep dive into the hopeful D2C applicants over the coming months and will look to be wowed by the shortlisted brands.

The ‘Growth’ category will focus on India’s fastest-growing D2C brands that have triumphed in demonstrating significant traction and growth. ‘Emerging’ brands, those that have successfully demonstrated innovation or disrupted a category, will be hand-picked by our esteemed jury.
The final list of the 42 D2C brands will be released during an event in January 2023. These brands will be featured on an interactive webpage on the Inc42 website and in our exclusive coffee table book.
