Eyewear brand QUE has roped in cricketer Shikhar Dhawan as an investor and brand ambassador.

Cofounded by Shashank Saurabh, Abhishek Deep and Kumar Vagish, QUE is gearing up for its launch with an aim to capture the market with its product portfolio, it said in a statement. 

The startup said in a statement that Dhawan’s association with the brand will play a pivotal role by enabling it to launch strongly, amplifying marketing efforts and enhancing product offerings.

“As someone who values both fashion and functionality, I believe QUE’s innovative approach to eyewear will resonate with consumers seeking premium products that complement their lifestyles. I look forward to representing QUE and contributing to its success,” Dhawan said.

He further added that this partnership is aimed at setting new standards in the Indian eyewear industry, while ensuring utmost protection of eyes. 

With a vision to democratise style and quality, QUE aims to make its premium sunglasses accessible to a mass premium audience across India and beyond.

Saurabh said, “We are excited about this strategic investment and partnership with Shikhar Dhawan as it serves as a strong validation to our mission of redefining the sunglasses industry, which will be worth $8.6 billion by 2028.”

According to him, the startup is confident of its ability to become a popular brand. 

The Indian cricketer commenced his investment journey in 2022 with the launch of a global investment fund to back sportstech startups with an initial corpus of $75 Mn] and a greenshoe option of $25 Mn. 

In addition, Dhawan has also been an angel investor and endorser of multiple brands. Last year, he backed D2C food brand TagZ with an undisclosed amount of investment and also joined them as the brand ambassador. 

Recently, Dhawan joined yet another D2C brand for sexual wellness and grooming, Shviz as an investor and brand ambassador.
