Gurgaon-based Zomato Media Pvt Ltd, which owns the restaurant and event-listing site Zomato.com, has enabled online payments for its users in India, when they place orders via web or through its apps. The updated version of the Android and iOS app now allow people to pay via credit cards, debit card and other net banking options.

The option to make online payments is currently available only in select restaurants.

The company, it seems, has partnered with PayPal for enabling online payments.

There is also the feature of Zomato Credits, where your referral credits go (or refunds, when things don’t quite go as planned). With this, the company has also added features like applying promo codes.

Apart from introducing online payments, the company has also introduced filters to help one manage one’s bookmarked restaurants and also leaderboards for Bloggers and Foodies (selected cities only).
