Sportstech startup KheloMore has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from Damera Ventures, a family office of Eruditus’ founder Ashwin Damera and his spouse Bhagyashree Damera. 

Founded in 2016 by Indian cricketer Jatin Paranjape, KheloMore is a mobile app startup. It connects people with pay and play avenues such as cricket, football, badminton and basketball, among others.

KheloMore said that it also offers professional training to young athletes with the help of its skilled sports coaches. 

“Ashwin and I are avid sport enthusiasts and we share Jatin’s vision of making sports more accessible to a large number of Indians. We are excited to partner with KheloMore to build a broad-based sporting culture across India. Sports and wellness are essential for the holistic development of the nation,” said Bhagyashree Damera, cofounder, Damera Ventures.

KheloMore claims to have served more than 5000 customers who are using its pay and play model. 

Further, it said, gaming unicorn Dream11 backed the Mumbai-based sportsech startup, KheloMore in 2021. 

“KheloMore provides consumers efficient access to learning and playing a sport of their choice through the convenience of technology. India will undoubtedly be amongst the biggest sports participating nations in the coming years and KheloMore will play a pivotal role in this exciting journey,” said Jatin Paranjape, CEO and founder of KheloMore. 

Some of the sportstech startups operating in India are SportsApp, Yuvraj Singh and Lara Dutta-backed Sports365, Protege Sports and SportzVillage, among others.
