ELearning Startup Englishleap Raises Funding From Financial Technology Firm ANALEC

The Delhi-based online education startup, Englishleap.com, owned by Leap Learning Solutions Pvt Ltd has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from financial technology company ANALEC.

According to the reports, Singapore-based ANALEC has acquired a majority stake in the company as part of the deal. The funds will be used to expand the company’s reach and product development.

Speaking on the development, Saurabh Chopra, co-founder and MD, Leap Learning Solutions said, “We will use the funding for customer acquisition and product development.”

The company is also planning to make smartphones as a delivery medium for learning english. Englishleap.com was founded in 2011 by IIM-Lucknow alumni Chopra and Apar Sureka. The online education portal focuses on imparting fluency in speaking, reading and writing English.

EnglishLeap offers web-based learning proposition, along with an English Grammar App that is available via the Google play store. The company claims that its website attracted over 3.5 Mn visits last year, and its grammar App has had over 300,000 downloads till date.
