The startup plans to use the funds to expand its footprint in both domestic and international markets, focusing on increasing retail presence and brand awareness through influencer partnerships.

Founded in 2018, Bebe Burp aims to compete with brands like Early Foods and Happa Foods, leveraging its natural, preservative-free recipes developed by nutritionists and chefs.

D2C baby food brand Bebe Burp has secured INR 8 Cr in a Pre-Series A funding round from Gruhas Collective Consumer Fund.

The Surat-based company plans to use the fresh capital to expand its footprint in the baby food space.

Founded in 2018 by Shruti Tibrewal, Bharat Tibrewal and Chirag Gupta, Bebe Burp uses recipes developed by nutritionists and chefs, focused on natural ingredients without preservatives. It was featured in Fast42 as one of India’s fastest growing D2C brands.

Bebe Burp’s cofounder Chirag Gupta said, “Our focus will be to expand into new domestic and international markets through the recently acquired funds. We will also increase brand awareness by employing influencer partnerships to create creative campaigns.”

Bebe Burp said that it will allocate 60% of the funds for growth, 20% for operations, 10% for product development, and 10% for team building. 

The startup aims to expand its retail presence to over 100,000 stores across India and enter international markets in the Middle East, Europe and Southeast Asia.

Bebe Burp competes against players like Early Foods, Happa Foods and By Grandma  in the organic baby food space. 

The Indian baby food market valued at $6.5 Bn in 2023, is projected to grow at a CAGR of 14% between 2024-30.
