Online custom shirt retailer Bombay Shirt Company (BSC) has secured an undisclosed amount of investment from Amit and Arihant Patni, sons of Patni Computer co-founder Gajendra Patni in seed funding. The raised amount would be used by it in upscaling the startup.

The startup is soon going to launch its flagship store in Kalaghoda.

Mumbai based Bombay Shirt Company was founded in May 2012 by Akshay Narvekar, alongwiith a fellow student, both MBAs from ISB, Hyderabad.

BSC provides customers with the choice of either choosing from one of the already available BSC designs, or customise the shirts as they wish. Also, BSC offers a wide variety of fabrics and colours to choose from, thus making the shirt unique.

The Stiff Collar is another startup in this space which offers custom embroidery to its customers, along with the choice of thread colour.
